Firstly i would like to thank Kevin Rudd for the stimulus injection into the economy which has helped us as an up and coming small business. EMG did not advertise to spend this money with us but i have to say we had at least 5-6 customers that told us that they were spending there Kevin Rudd money with us as our product is Australian made and they were glad to help Australia get back on track. Once again to those customers a big thank you from EMG Electric Golf Buggies.

Developments on the pull apart parmaker style buggy have gained some momentum. The new shape design from the original prototype which is traveling around in MT Waverly is looking very sharp. As per the Icon MKII its look is, strength "tough" just as aussie designs should be. I have spoke with John in the last week and is extremely happy with the performance even know its a first and a prototype, stay tuned for the launch coming soon.

EMG has standard colours of gloss black and silver. EMG use a quality powder coater, Hunter Powder and Paint in Rutherford NSW, which accommodate any request that we put to them. If they have it in stock they will powder coat the lot. So if you have a preference on colour to suit your golf gear, just ask the question and for an extra small fee we can customise your electric walk behind. Check out the yellow golf buggy that will be traveling around the central coast from next week, very impressive!!!

EMG Electric golf buggies have a growing reputation in the greater west due to all the hard work from Bill Rock, EMG's Western Australian agent. Bill has been on board for a couple of years now and has organised sales and servicing when necessary. If you are looking for a Electric Golf Buggy in Western Australia contact Bill on the following for a free demonstration of the EMG Icon MKII.

Its not often that we get asked where our gearboxes come from as we do advertise on our website that we do import them and we do modify some parts when they arrive. I do explain that EMG have been using this unit for 4 years and they are an exceptional product. 3 years ago we had a few motor problems and we found the source of it, so we used to pull the back of every motor and solder 2 of the contacts. The motor wires were not heavy enough at that stage but we only had minimal dramas with those. With all the buggies we have out there there where only a handful of dramas. They have since redesigned the brush springs and contacts and put heavier wire from the motor to our electronics. All we do when the gearboxes land here is re drill the gear out to suit our 15mm axle as they are designed for 12mm axles.
This gearbox motor assembly is the most efficient i have seen. It has 2 moving parts running in quality bearings with an aluminium housing. From experience some of the cheaper gearboxes have plastic housings and this is where the trouble lyes. The problem with injection molding is that you cannot produce the parts identical, so every gearbox housing is different. The other problem is that they flex when they are in use, so any tolerances they are set up with vary the whole time they are in use. Imagine that in you road car you would be at the mechanics every month.

After the first outing of the EMG Unnamed pull apart buggy( similar to the par maker) the buggy has come through with some encouraging comments. John from Victoria asked me if i could build a buggy that pulls apart for his wife that is 80 years of age. She tried a buggy that was similar to our Icon MKII that folds down in one go, but it was a bit heavy and awkward to lift. John was very keen to update his current buggies which are both aged parmakers and was looking for something different but quality. John purchased one of buggies from ebay and we had spoke numerous times about the buggy that was for sale, how old it was and if EMG would warrant the buggy(yes we did). He also told me that he wanted to update his wifes buggy as well, only problem was that his wife could not lift one of our buggies. I did not want to sell him a buggy that was not practical for his wife, so i said i could build a pull apart buggy if he wanted me to. I thank him for putting his trust in EMG as we had only spoke on the phone(many times). I have always wanted to built the pull apart version as we know that people want a buggy that pulls apart. EMG are keeping eager eyes on this buggy over the next couple of months as we would like to put the buggy in production before next summer.
Stayed tuned for up coming blogs.

Sad; but it is true.
Today I received a phone call from a gentleman from Sydney that purchased an electric golf buggy from Grays online. He thought that I was an agent for the electric golf buggy that he had purchased. I explained to him that we only produce the buggy that we advertise on the internet, and we do not sell any other imported buggies. I then tried to diagnose how he came across EMG as an agent for this type of electric golf buggy. He explained to me that he typed the name of his buggy with caddy golf buggy and electric golf buggy and our named popped up. I then explained how key words in search engines work and thats how he came across EMG. He sounded like a lovely older man stuck and confused, he had outlaid $800 for a buggy that the remote control had stopped working on and the battery charger had just given up the ghost and cannot get in contact with anyone to service his dramas. I tried to offer as much relevant support as possible; so told him to look up Grays online, see if you find the buggy that you had purchased, see if you can find some contact details if not, contact Grays and see if they can get you some results.
He thanked me and hopefully for him it all works out. If it doesn't he will be just another person that will be hesitant about buying off the internet without seeing the product.
At EMG, we are an internet based company with a couple of representatives around the country and we sell a great product, which has service Australia wide, and you talk to someone who builds the buggies. For a couple of hundred extra why would you not buy one of our buggies for that extra piece of mind and quality.
Do yourself a favour look us up.
